Whether they are escorting patients to their destination, providing clerical assistance or serving as a family liaison in the emergency room, their support is an essential ingredient in delivering the highest quality health care available in Collin County. Volunteers typically work a regularly scheduled 4-hour daytime shift once a week (Monday - Friday). Evening and late afternoon assignments are available on a limited basis in specific assignment areas. All volunteers are required to attend a hospital orientation class, undergo a criminal background check, have an annual T.B. test and purchase one of several available uniform options.

Adults may apply by completing the volunteer application and returning to TMCP for processing at The Medical Center of Plano, Volunteer Services, 3901 West 15th Street, Plano, TX 75075. After your application has been processed, you will be invited to a Volunteer Services Introductory Meeting to learn about specific assignment openings.
